Garth Brooks sister to headline gay pride events in OC

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The sister of Garth Brooks will be the headline for two days of gay pride events this weekend in Oklahoma City. Betsy Smittle is a bass guitar player and has toured with Brooks. She'll perform Saturday with her band The Edge. A gay pride parade is planned for Sunday. Smittle has been openly gay since Brooks revealed her sexuality during an interview in the early 1990s.
