Another prospect with whom the Reds are making progress is country singer Garth Brooks, who is looking for a spring training home for next season.
Brooks has worked out the past two years with the San Diego Padres (1999) and Mets (2000), all to raise money for his Touch 'Em All Foundation, which benefits children's charities.
