Garth Brooks Double Live to Come in Variety of Packages
NASHVILLE, Tenn. --Oct. 21, 1998--Garth Brooks Double Live, the 2-CD set containing 25 live recordings by Brooks (over 100 minutes of music) including three new singles, will come in a variety of limited commemorative packages. While each 2-CD set will contain the same exact recordings, consumers will have several options regarding the look of their purchase. The artwork for each package, including booklet photos and special designs on the discs themselves, will be retired after a run of 1 million copies, resulting in a completely different package for every million copies produced and shipped in the U.S. The cassette package is entirely different from those for the CD's. Each CD booklet also contains a diary of Garth's personal reflections on his career milestones.
Following are the CD packages that will be available when Garth Brooks Double Live hits stores on November 17:
The First Edition - Marked with a silver foil First Edition seal, the cover shows Garth surrounded by flags of various countries. Inside is a pictorial overview of the biggest events in his career.
Central Park - On August 7, 1997, as the sun set over the Manhattan skyline, Garth met up with the biggest crowd that ever showed up for a concert in Central Park. This booklet captures the highlights of the party.
Dublin, Ireland - The cover shows Garth crowd-surfing at Croke Park in Dublin, with inside photos showing what happened when he took the Emerald Isle by storm.
World Tour II (96-98) - Pictures convey the passion, intensity, and excitement experienced by over 5 million people on Garth's current tour, during which most of the live album was recorded.
Texas Stadium 1993 - Garth performed surrounded by fire and rain, then flew across Texas Stadium in front of 65,000 people each night for three nights. This booklet captures the highlights of the concerts that became Garth's second NBC special, ``This is Garth Brooks, Too!''
Reunion Arena 1991 - A cover photo of Garth smashing guitars with Ty England fronts other photos from the concerts that became Garth's first NBC special. All of the pictures reveal the elements that have become trademarks of his live shows--wild abandon juxtaposed with tender intimacy.
Future packages are in the works depending on consumer demand.
