Singer-songwriter Victoria Shaw has written hits for such country acts as Garth Brooks ("The River", "She's Every Woman"), John Michael Montgomery ("I Love The Way You Love Me"), and Trisha Yearwood ("Where Your Road Leads"), and can now add pop music to her list of credits.
The tunesmith co-wrote "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely", a song recorded by Ricky Martin and performed by the Latin superstar Monday (January 8) night at the American Music Awards. Martin will release it as a single to radio as a duet with Christina Aguilera.
Shaw has yet to meet the Latin heartthrob but says she's not too concerned about it, "as long as they spell my name correctly on the checks!" Shaw quipped to The Tennessean.
