Garth Brooks to Release Seventh Double Live Package
Friday, October 13, 2000. Press Release

World Tour I 93-94, In Stores October 24

NASHVILLE, Tenn. --Oct. 13, 2000-- The seventh unique package for Garth Brooks Double Live, the 1998 2-CD set containing 25 live recordings by Brooks, will be available in stores on Tuesday, October 24.

Garth Brooks Double Live, which at the time of its release set a record for first-week sales (selling over 1.08 million copies), has been certified by the RIAA for sales of 13 million. This represents sales of over 6.5 million copies of the 2-CD set.

It was announced at the time of release that six different packages were available. They were: The First Edition, Central Park, Dublin, Ireland, World Tour II (96-98), Texas Stadium 1993, and Reunion Arena 1991. The artwork for each, including booklet photos and special designs on the discs themselves, was retired after a run of 1 million copies, resulting in a completely different package for every million copies produced and shipped in the US. The cassette packages were entirely different from those for the CD's. Each CD booklet also contained a diary of Garth's personal reflections on his career milestones.

The seventh package, for the seventh group of million units produced, is called World Tour I (93-94). It contains photos and reminiscences of Garth's domestic tour in 1993, and the world tour in 1994 that took him to Ireland, England, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Scotland, Australia and New Zealand.
