Familiar name on Ricky Martin's album.

Ok, I know some of you are gonna laugh, but I got Ricky's new album today. My sister fell in love with him at first sight, so I've heard a lot of his stuff because of her. LOL Anyway, I was looking at the liner notes, and I saw a very familiar name. On "Nobody Wants to be Lonely", one of the writers is none other than Victoria Shaw! Who would have thought, huh? It's the song he did on the AMA's the other night for those who watched.

Oh, Jason the know-it-all again! LOL If it was mentioned on here, I guess I missed it! I think it is pretty cool though.

<br>We are thrilled to report that one of the songs Victoria co-wrote with her friends, Desmond Child and Gary Burr, this past summer is going to be included on Ricky Martin's brand new album coming out this fall! Victoria hinted about this recording during her fan club party, but she didn't mention the artist because was official yet. The song is called "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" and, according to Victoria, is a sexy, romantic ballad with a pulsing rhythm. This is not the first time Victoria and Desmond have had success as collaborators. They also wrote the Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood duet "Where Your Road Leads". Of course, we've all seen Gary Burr's name next to Victoria's on many CDs. Victoria said this song is extra special to her because "It was written with two of my very, very dear friends." The album, which is currently untitled, will be in stores in November.

Thanks Jason. It is one of the best songs on the album. She's one great songwriter!

I read somewhere that someone asked her if she was upset that she hadn't met Ricky yet. She said something like "not really, as long as they spell my name on the cheque right" LOL!

Yeah I heard her talking about it a while back on my local radio station in an interview she did with the morning DJs. She spoke very intelligently about "country" songwriters often lead a pop existence on the side. She's a nice lady, it seems.N
