Poem for Garth

Well, since I am feeling brave today... thought I'd post a poem I wrote a couple of days ago:

World of Passion

With your voice as warm as your personality
You're still taking us right to where we want to be
A world of passion, this beautiful place
emotions written all over your face

We dance, we sing, we sway along
hanging on to your every song
All we want is to sing them back
and maybe give your soul some slack

You've done so well, so little wrong
is what we're singing in our song
So set yourself free of guilt you feel
now there's only yourself left to heal

The song you're singing could be the last
If there's no future, we'll have the past
As long as your heart sings its song to you
We'll be happy, because we love you too

I'm glad you found the courage to post that. It is really beautiful. I'm sure Garth would listen to its message if he got to hear it.

Life is too short NOT to be a Garth Brooks fan!

I read this article that said the typical symptoms of stress are eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That is my idea of a perfect day!!!

How about a section in PG that all these poems can be compiled? Just an idea, I've seen a lot of good ones in here...N

*blushing* Thanks for all your nice reactions! :) I am very happy that you liked it. Should I have some more inspiration, I will post the next one on the Musicians Forum (thanks for the tip Jason - I have been discussing with some friends about turning this one into a song. We just couldn't figure out who would have to sing it to Garth ;) )
