So did anyone notice the nominations that Garth got this week??

How bad will Eric Church be crying this time when EOY goes to Garth.

Yes, I posted them in an earlier thread. :-) I wish he would have made the final cut for Male vocalist and Trisha would have made the cut for Female Vocalist. They were this close. But Vocal event was ok but I have a feeling they may give it to Old Town Road. :-(

    Dang posting fails!!

    anyway, try 2..

Saw the nominations- would have to laugh if Garth gets EOY though I'd hope to see that. Eric Church would def. be a spoil-sport it seems.. I don't see the bro country crowd/influence letting that happen though- I think Dive Bar has a better chance at an award though I chuckle at that too, as it's not been out TOO long for consideration...

It would be cool for Garth to win. It would make his 7th one from CMA's. His favorite number. LOL

Is it the CMAs where Chris Stapelton has his break thru over artists like Sam Hunt? If it was, I think they might make a statement by picking the more country song over the pop type of song.

Well call me a spoilsport when I say that I don't want to watch anything that's remotely related to Old Town Road, I know that song has driven a wedge between music fans but I'm exercising my right of protest by not watching this year. I don't even care if Garth were to debut a new song, that's how angry I am right now.

I don't know if it's worth getting Angry over truly, but I'm def. seeing that music's at a crossroads, and honestly this could either tip things in a good (if something else wins) or bad (if Old Town Road wins) way..

The loss will be ours as fans though

Use to be a fan of Reich church before he got the bro country makeover (lost the hat and changed his image) and opened his mouth about Garth. He loses one award and cries like a baby while Dierks Bentley has made a career out of getting screwed over and has never bashed another artist. I hope Garth wins but my prediction is Luke combs wins everything all night.

I can seee Luke Combs winning a lot- he's def. gained in popularity (and its' annoying, but that cold beer song is also kinda catchy)

Agreed re Luke Combs... he seems like a genuine act and that Cold Beer song is CLASSIC country.

I'll admit I've not gone in depth on his music (Luke's). it sounds too much like everything else that's out nowadays... too many songs bout beer (but then again that's always been a mainstay of country)

I'm surprised that song is nominated at a country awards show. It's a good song, just not in the country category.
