Pick a song that should be...

Put back IN the setlist: My picks would be

    Not Counting You
    We Bury the Hatchet
    She's Every Woman
    Wild Horses
Tearin' it Up and Burning It Down
    It's Your Song

Not counting you, is a brilliant song to open with, and we bury the hatchet is so much fun!

will never forget him playing this by request via a sign in 1996.. He talked about being a bit rusty with it, but then BOOM out it came.. great show, great song...

    something NOT normally in..

    In Lonesome Dove
Cold Like That (yeah I know he played it once)

I almost did a sign for I DON'T HAVE TO WONDER in Orlando '06. A year after my divorce and she had gotten engaged and set a date for her next wedding. Anyhow, the song took on a new meaning and helped me face some demons and depression i dealt with then, ironically...but i was pretty sure he won't play such a deep cut so i didn't make a sign.

I do think it would make a great live song!

Another one just came to mind:

    Kickin' and Screamin'

You wanna talk about a perfect example where the live version of the song kicked the studio version in the ass.

    The Fever
    Tearin' It Up

I don't know why he ever stopped doing The Fever, it was always the life of the party.

This one is tough for me. I mean the vast majority of his set list is music from the first hand full of albums. I guess what I'd like to see in a Garth concert today is more of the recent music instead of continuing to rehash "The Old Stuff"

I agree with this 1000%! I would love to see a setlist with 4-5 new songs... and by "new," I mean anything from Scarecrow onward. The great songs from Scarecrow, Lost Sessions, and TUH never got their full chance to become live staples because they were released during the retirement years. Others from MAM & GS always seemed to take backseats to the staples from the first pre-retirement albums. So yes, give the "new" stuff a good chance!

That said, if he wanted to play the song "The Old Stuff" again, I wouldn't mind that too much either.

I did a sign when he was in Lubbock for This Ain't Tennessee. He actually pointed at it and nodded his head, but it didn't make it into the end of the show. But of course that wasn't one who normally did on his set list anyway.

Doesn’t Garth hate Not Counting You? Seems I read that somewhere, and that that’s why it wasn’t on The Hits or TUH.
