Garth Playing Free Concert at SXSW

Of course we already know that Garth is doing a keynote address at SXSW on Friday at 2pm. Well, speculation about a performance launched when Garth set a press conference at 11 am on Friday and it sounds to be true! I'm going to guess this has everything to do with the launch of Ask Me How I Know as the second single. He's been teasing it with #AskMeHowIKnow all day. Fingers crossed we'll get a performance of it!

    From CBS-Austin
AUSTIN, Texas Sources with the city of Austin confirm that country music superstar Garth Brooks will be playing a free concert at Auditorium Shores on Saturday.
Brooks is holding a "very special" press conference at South By Southwest on Friday morning, where the official announcement could be made.
As of now, the reason for the press conference, set for 11:00 a.m. at the Austin Convention Center, is unknown.

Alright, he's making the right moves to connect with the younger audience as he releases this new single. It's going to be a good radio year for Garth I predict. The pics on Snapchat of SXSW have been pretty awesome. Nothing but young people.

This is badass. A free Garth concert at SXSW is going to be one hell of a party!

I think I may need to hop in the car and make the 3 hour drive....

Well, I guess I won't be hopping in the car after all - the free concert is for residents of Austin with certain zip codes.... **disappointed!**

If anybody finds his keynote discussion he did today from SXSW please share. I think it would be very interesting. I watched his press conference announcing that he would be playing on Sat. I thought he was asked some decent questions at that and I liked his answers. Wasn't the typical softball questions he generally gets.

Yeah. He answered the one on why he doesn't release singles vs. albums really well. I searched You Tube but couldn't find the keynote

For those on Facebook (at least I think you need to be on Facebook to access any content), here's a Facebook live video of the first 25 minutes of the keynote.

Find it strange that with all the talk about We Shall Be Free that he didn't play it.
