    Interviewed Garth in Albany

    Hey Everyone!

I had the opportunity to speak with Garth Brooks before his show in Albany at the Press Conference. I could go on and on about the experience. But, I'll just let it speak for itself. The link below is to my website. I put together a half-hour episode based on snippets from the press conference. But, my short interviews with Garth and Trisha are also below in video form

    Thanks!

Am disappointed that they won't tour Europe now with a full show. But I sure hope to catch him at a festival. I think he meant the C2C when he mentioned the festival in England (oops).

You know what I think would be an awesome festivals for him to perform at? Bonnaroo or Hard Rock Calling.

I hadn't heard of these festivals and checked on Wikipedia.

Bonnaroo... Well, that puzzles me... because he did a 3 year USA tour! Why would he play a festival in the USA?! Makes no sense.

Hard Rock Calling - If you mean the one in London...that doesn't seem to exist anymore. And why would he play a "hard rock" festival? ... doesn't make sense either.

The C2C is a 3-day Country festival that takes place in London, Dublin and Glasgow. To me.. that would make sense

He's too big in Ireland for the c2c. He would be playing the full show in Ireland, there won't be any festivals here for him. While he has his gear over here, he could well do Europe.

There are plenty of U.S. artists who tour Europe. Perhaps not to the same extent they tour the U.S., and sometimes they have to play slightly smaller venues, depending upon the country, but they do play shows.

And it's not like he has toured Europe extensively in the past. He's really only gone over a couple times, and hardly even touched outside UK & Ireland. Perhaps he is better at festivals in some places, but even so, he stands to make enough with shows in UK & Ireland to cover a lot of the cost, and mixing in some shows in other countries, should not be that big a deal.

Really Garth, with all the revenue raised from 3 years of sellouts in the U.S., the cost of a 2-3 months in Europe is going to break your budget?

True! I doubt that money is the issue here. He did say they are exhausted. And that I absolutely believe. Maybe they need a break and then resume touring in Europe. That would be cool.

Just catching up on PG and already commented on another thread where you posted a link to your interview (that I had actually read and watched a few days ago when it came up in my Google alerts), but I'll repeat the comment here.

That was a great interview you had, Matt! You could tell it was done by a fan and not by most radio people who couldn't come up with an original questions.

Well I don't know if you got any Hard Rock casinos or clubs in your area, but in my city of Biloxi we actually get a lot of Country singers at my Hard Rock Casino, sure a lot of em are either legends or singers that have medium sized followings (like Gary Allan loves coming over there a lot), but I think if Country singers can come to a Hard Rock Casino why not let Garth headline the Hard Rock festival and break the mold.
