I remember hearing something about Garth and the Moffats, but my memory is vague as to whether he wrote a song for them. I think I remember seeing Garth in a picture with the group.

I was checking out E-Bay and found an CD that states that Garth wrote the song on it for The Moffats~
I looked around and couldn't find anything except that that credited him with the song, does anyone know for sure??These brothers, origninally from Canada and now hailing from Nashville make a certain splash with their self-titled CD. From "When God Made You," written for them by Garth Brooks

I found the lyrics here, but there were no credits listed.
"When God Made You"
God made the oceans and with a wave of his hand
He made the mountains, the deserts and the plains
But I wonder was it in his master plan
That there'd be earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes
When I see the peaceful sky, sometimes I wonder
How could it turn so dark and be so cruel
This old world is full of imperfections
But I found one exception to the rule
When God made you
He had something else in mind
When God made you
He took a little extra time
When we're surrounded by a world that's slowly sinking
Your gentle eyes and loving smile make me forget
Though you're only flesh and blood, I can't help thinking
If you have a flaw, I haven't found it yet
When God made you
He had something else in mind
When God made you
He took a little extra time
When God made you
He did something so divine
When God made you
He took a little extra time
Listen not to the critics
Who put their own dreams on the shelf

-GARTH BROOKS-
I just remembered you can do a search at the ASCAP site. Pat Alger and Garth Brooks are credited with writing this song - When God Made You.

I knew you guys could do it!! Thanks Paula~I owe you one! And I agree with you Amanda, the words do have Garth written all over them.
But you just opened another can of worms after I checked out the ASCAP sight!! Out of the 77songs that he has wrote or involved with there are a few that I'd never heard of! I'm sure if he tried hard enough he could squeeze them into just ONE more CD for us don't ya think???? Wishful thinkin' I guess!!
Next question has anyone heard 'When God Made You'?

I have the Cd (don't ask) . The boys recorded it when they were barely teens so they sound kinda like "The Chipmunks". Kinda silly sounding from kids IMO. I don't know what it is about Canadian boys recording Garth songs. Adam Gregory recorded "Sweet memories" on his last album.
The boys switched to pop music a few years ago, became kinda popular for the teenyboppers here in Canada and haven't heard much from them since.
