Hey everyone! Let's get the comment out of the way first. Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed the Musician's Forum was moved up into PG Misc. I don't know why, but I'm sure they had good reason. :)

Now, onto the other reason for this new topic. No story for this one, sorry, lol. I just wrote it cuz I was playing with words in my head when listening to a holiday album, since New Year's comes Soon after. Hope you enjoy! I'll warn you now, it's sad, too. lol

Donít Wait Until Midnight
© 2000 Stephanie Shade

Glasses of champagne are passed around
Laughter and music, those joyful sounds
The seconds drop from the future into the past
That silver ball sparkles so brightly
waiting to drop after what just might be
The longest night I know Iíve ever had

Donít wait until midnight to kiss me
donít leave your memory lingering
Weíve both lost our way to romance
And there wonít be a second chance
Without a way to rekindle our hearts
Letís say goodbye before the New Year starts
Baby, you can make it all right
Just donít wait until midnight

If I can just hide what Iím feeling
Knowing Iím losing whatís disappearing
Our broken dreams fell like snowflakes from the sky
Weíve drifted farther than love can see
Thereís nothing left to save you and me
And this fantasy is running of time

So donít wait until midnight to kiss me
donít leave your memory lingering
Weíve both lost our way to romance
And there wonít be a second chance
Without a way to rekindle our hearts
Letís say goodbye before the New Year starts
Baby, you can make it all right
Just donít wait until midnight

"Thanks for your time",

PS- I think it was Jenny's that I saw this. I hope she reads this. "Copywrite" should read "Copyright", as in the rights to a song. :) And you can also write the abbreviation "Copr." I checked my Rec Ind book in class, lol. Take Care.
Now for my coments..

WOW!!! Another great song:):)

I really love this one:):)

Doesn't really remind me about a country song, but it would fit "Michael Learns To Rock" perfectly fine:):)

I am such a dork! :( Yes, I should have written "copyright". It makes a little more sense that way, doesn't it? My bad! :) Like I said earlier Stephanie, thanks for watching my back, so to speak! :)
And see Brian, even some of us raised in the USA still struggle with our english now and then! :)

Oh, and I love this song! Reading it gave me a very melancholy feeling.

Thanks for clearing that up, Jason. :) (I didn't notice until now that you are a forum moderator, kewl.)

Brian - I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that song, but it's cool that you hear it fit something. Thanks!

Nelly - I assure you that writing will always be a part of me. It won't be my main profession, that will be "royalty artist for Capitol Nashville." ;)

I'm glad to see more writers (and readers) showing up here. It kinda feels like our own little group, or something, lol. I wonder if Garth knows his site is fostering such creativity. :)

Thank you for always leaving kind words in your replies. *squinting eyes* I'm sure the criticisms are just hiding somewhere, lol. ;) But encouragement is always appreciated.

Take Care,

Nash:)

Michael Learns To Rock is a Danish pop band:) They are very good at writing "break-up"/sad songs;)

Actually they have made some of my favorite ballads:eek:

This is not a sad song;)
You Took My Heart Away
(Music and words: Jascha Richter)

Staring at the moon so blue
Turning all my thoughts to you
I was without hopes or dreams
I tried to dull an inner scream but you
saw me through

Walking on a path of air
See your faces everywhere
As you melt this heart of stone
you take my hand to guide me home and now
I'm in love

Chorus: You took my heart away
when my whole world was gray
You gave me everything
and a little bit more
And when it's cold at night
and you sleep by my side
you become the meaning of my life

Living in a world so cold
you are there to warm my soul
You came to mend a broken heart
You gave my life a brand new start and now
I'm in love

Chorus:
You took...

Holding your hand
I won't fear tomorrow
Here were we stand
we'll never be alone

This is a sad song:( But cool anyway:)

25 Minutes
(Jascha Richter)

After some time I've finally made up my mind
she is the girl and I really want to make her mine
I'm searching everywhere to find her again
to tell her I love her
and I'm sorry 'bout the things I've done

I find her standing in front of the church
the only place in town where I didn't search
She looks so happy in her weddingdress
but she's crying while she's saying this

Chorus:
Boy I've missed your kisses all the time but this is
twentyfive minutes too late
Though you travelled so far boy I'm sorry your are
twentyfive minutes too late

Against the wind I'm going home again
wishing me back to the time when we were more than friends

But still I see her in front of the church
the only place in town where I didn't search
She looked so happy in her weddingdress
but she cryed while she was saying this

Chorus: Boy I've missed your kisses all the time but this is
twentyfive minutes too late
Though you travelled so far boy I'm sorry your are
twentyfive minutes too late

Out in the streets
places where hungry hearts have nothing to eat
inside my head
still I can hear the words she said

Chorus:
Boy I've missed your kisses all the time but this is
twentyfive minutes too late
Though you travelled so far boy I'm sorry your are
twentyfive minutes too late

I can still hear her say.......

Okay, they were just to show you who MLTR are:)

Love your lyrics Nash!

And Brian, I also very much like the MLTR ones! Danes seems to be good at nice lyrics. I have a CD from Sko/Torp and I love that one!

He, don't forget that I was living in Denmark for a short while Brian! :) I think the album is called "A Long And Lonely Night". At the time that I was living with my Danish boyfriend, he had two albums of them and I should have a look once, because I really like the other one too. Just can't remember the title (and where could I order it on the Net?). Do you know how many albums they have now?N

Marjolijn:)

I can try and find some info if you want:)

I don't know if it is possible to order them on the net as our more or less only on-line music store crashed a month ago:o:o

Hi Brian,

That is very sweet of you, thanks! :) And if you would, yes please. Could you check which albums they had out by 1994? I would really love to have that second album my boyfriend had.

And it sounds like the online CD store has a major problem there! Just before Christmas, when they would make the most money... aiaiai... that will hurt their business BADLY! Do you think they will get it back up again?

Thanks again :)

Thanks for the link Brian. I had a look, but I do not have the foggiest idea which album it could be. So, I think that I will just leave it at this. I have one album, that I really love and I do not want to buy them all. The risk of just picking the wrong one would be too big.

Really appreciated your help! :)
