Is it done yet?

Hey. I was discussing this one with a friend and she let me know that the first verse is not as clear as she'd like it to be. I realize I should be able to tell whether or not it's clear, but...doesn't matter if it's clear to me, really...it's the listeners who matter, right? I also told her this one might be harder to write since it's one of the FEW I write dealing with relationships that are completely true for me. So if you could just give a word or two on your verdict, it'd be much appreciated. Thank you :)

<br>Your friend was right...the first verse is hard to understand. I've read and re-read it, and am not sure, still, what you are trying to get across. I have an inkling, of course, but only after several read-throughs. I understand what the song is about, but that verse is just very unclear.

<br>Deb, what the first verse is supposed to say is I meet a guy who I think is, for lack of a better term, perfect, lol. But, I know there are reasons we can't be together, which I won't mention. My friends have had all had relationships, so they wouldn't understand why I have any struggle with what's before me, also cuz they don't realize how I like this guy. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm just restating what I wrote. Does that help at all?
