Hey y'all. I wrote this one last night cuz I've had this idea of personifying a "second chance." (I'm also fighting a cold off and since I can't sing as well as usual, I figured I could practice my other...talent, I guess you could call it.)
My first feedback for this one had a hard time understanding the last part. So, please don't take this as an insult to your intelligence, but I thought I might explain something. I'm "asking" my second chance to help fix the relationship I ruined. The second chance fixes it, and I tell the second chance that I can never repay "him" for it the next time we meet. And because the second chance fixed it, I get to realize that this relationship is meant to be and so I get to "meet" my destiny, hence the last line of the song. Capishe? lol And, if this helps, I hear it as a soulful, country waltz. Any feedback you wish to give is always appreciated.

How long has it been
since I’ve seen you?
You’ve had a habit of hiding from me
I never thought
I would be so glad
to watch you walk into reach

Hello, Second Chance
I’m so glad you decided to show
I’ve been waiting patiently for you
I hope you’re not in a hurry to go

I’m afraid I need
a favor
For a man that’s broken inside
You see, I wasn’t supposed
to hurt him
But I was blinded by my foolish pride

Could you please ask
the hands of time
to untie the knots I’ve made
And let me back
into the heart
I never meant to break

(instrumental break)

Hello, Second Chance
So glad you decided to show
I’m afraid I can never repay you
And how you did it, I’ll never know

But, I noticed you’re not alone
You brought your friend, I see
It’s a pleasure to finally meet you
Hello…Destiny
