GARTH'S PARENTS TURNED A SMALL BURG INTO A BIG CITY
<br>When Garth Brooks' parents decided to move from near Oklahoma City to tiny Yukon, Oklahoma, all the kids were up in arms about moving away from a big city. Garth says to get them in town with as little griping as possible, they pulled a trick on the kids. "I'm the last of six and me and my brother Kelly are like a year apart and then there's like a 10 year spread for the 4 older ones," Garth told us. "So, the 4 older ones loved the big city and they didn't want to leave it, I mean that was their big gripe. And so we have flour mills in Yukon, OK, that's the only thing we got that's over a story tall, but they're lit up (at night). So mom and dad decided to move at night, so when the kids came in they could see the mills and all the lights and wouldn't complain! So we got there and the kids there, they were all just loving it--as much as I remember of it. And it took them a couple of days to get downtown and see what it was really like!!"
