The Mind

<br>Often a mind is like a desert storm
<br>The winds blowing in all forms
<br>It is bound to grieve in a perfect storm
<br>Ever pinning you down to the dirt
<br>Blasting endlessly, blinding the Sun
<br>
<br>A life is not complete without
<br>The mind, the heart and the voice
<br>The mind can be good if you let it be
<br>Voices see the mind if you let it speak
<br>The Heart helps if you let it reach
<br>
<br>The mind is a dangerous place to be
<br>It is destructive if you are reckless
<br>Like a mouse trapped in a maze
<br>Always missing the turn at every exit
<br>That is a mind without a door
<br>
<br>The heart beats like a ticking time bomb
<br>Ever waiting for the right time to blow
<br>Some may not survive the blast
<br>Those who do, are rendered helpless
<br>Their life forever changed
<br>When it didn't have to be
<br>
<br>Voices are the powerful source of self
<br>Keeping you in the right state of mind
<br>Some are strong and find the notes
<br>Some are not and finally explode
<br>Once they do, they are hard to repossess
<br>
<br>Dreams are fatal if sanctioned to control
<br>Thoughts can be deadly and damn to slay
<br>Feelings are irrelevant and kill the state of mind
<br>Senses are a weakness that commit to crimes
<br>Voices can scream but prove powerless within the mind
<br>
<br>There is no escape in the perfect storm
<br>When the mind is in a state of confusion
<br>It will never calm and let the sun shine through
<br>As a life is never still and the voices must be heard
<br>Screams of the survivor will be saved
<br>Only when the life works as one
<br>
<br>The mind is the hope for our survival in this world
<br>Treasure the power and use it wisely, not foolishly
<br>It can bring success beyond the imagination
<br>But it can also bring endless nightmares
<br>Take it for granted and it will be taken away
<br>
