Vince Gill on A&E

Just thought I'd let everyone know Vince Gill will be the first COUNTRY artist to do A&E's live by request show(wish it was Garth).I've watched Phil Collins and Gloria Estevan on this format and found it very enjoyable even though it seems a little rehearsed.The show will air on January 30 at 9 PM.N

Tommy,the show is a live show where you can request a song by the starring artist either by an 800 phone number or online.A few calls are put through live during the telecast.I'm not sure how they decide on tha artist,but Vince is the first country artist signed to do this.On their webpage they ask who you would like to see on an upcoming show and you can go there to review past shows.This is one of the first websites I went to after coming online a few months ago(I didn't know about planetgarth yet).The website is livebyrequest.com.I think you might learn a little more by checking it out.N

Shortly after James Taylor appeared on the Live by Request show, I e-mailed A&E in November of 1997 suggesting that they have Garth on one of their Live by Request shows. They responded by thanking me and saying that feedback is the best way for them to know what subjects interest our viewers. (I still have a copy of their response to me.) Maybe if enough of us send them an e-mail, they will try to get Garth on a future show.<p>PaulaN
