Sara Evans new album No Place That Far is being released on the 27th of Oct. For those of you who haven't heard of her, Sara has the best country voice in Nashville. Unfortunately she doesn't get a lot of radio time because her songs are considered too country by a lot of DJ's out there in the business.
On her new album there's a song called Time Won't Tell and it's written by the great Harlan Howard. I got a chance to talk to Sara before a recent concert and she said that the song was supposed to be for the duet album for Trisha and Garth, but that she convinced Harlan to let her cut it first, since she absolutely loved it and the Garth-Trisha duet album was stalled earlier this summer. Check out this album y'all...I think you'll like it!
This Album is probably the best country album I've heard in three or four years...seriously! Please check it out...you won't be dissapointed!N

Sara Evans? Did she sing "the cryin' game"?
I don't really notice her.... if she were the one who sang "the cryin' game", she is a pretty good singer. N

I haven't heard either one of her albums, but she's had some good singles, although they rarely get airplay. CMT is the best place to catch her. I think her first single was "True Lies", and that song really caught my attention because it sounded so different from the Pop-Country that radio plays today. Her next single was "Three Chords And The Truth". Evidently, she later released a single called "Cryin' Game", as honky indicated. If I'm not mistaken, her current single is "Shame About That", which I've heard quite a bit on the local radio station.
Although she has the respect of the industry and her peers in Nashville, she hasn't achieved the same star status as other artists because she hasn't had a bonafide hit yet.N

Well...once again, I've called another one! I'm guessing that a lot more of you have heard of Sara now, that may not have heard of her back in October...so I've called another one before they were big! She's a tremendous singer and if you haven't heard her new album, then I really think you should go pick up a copy today!N

Ha Ha...wanna hear something funny?
My last name is Evans, and my last girlfriend's name was Sara...how's that for a coincedence.
Because of that, I have followed her music closely. I knew she had a stong voice, but up until now she hasn't had a great single to work with.
"No Place That Far" is great...you go Sara!N

I really like her voice :) I think she sounds like a mixture of Patty Loveless and Terri Clark. There's an article about her in Country Weekly this week, and she seems very down-to-earth. I think her and Garth should do a duet!N

Gary -
Just stumbled across your thread as I am listening to the new CD I just purchased - Sara Evans - "No Place That Far". Looks like you are a true visionary :D . She really has an incredible voice. Just heard on the radio this morning that she opened for Alan Jackson last nite and one reviewer said he liked her more than Alan!! I've only listened to the CD once so far - but it sounds like a keeper to me. N
