PG Update - July 21,1999

<I>I want to start out by thanking everyone for their kind words recently regarding my wedding. Ellen and I are very appreciative and humbled by your kindness. We returned from Mexico on Monday and are starting to settle in, so it may take me a while to get going again.</I><P><B>Now PG business....</B><P>Let me address the issue regarding the problems people have been having with registration and incorrect profiles. I don't know what caused the problems that you were getting. Some member files were all screwed up. However, I think I may have fixed the problem tonight. So hopefully all is well. If you have any further problems, please let me know immediatley.<P>The software that runs the PG Forums is commercial software from a third party. The recent problems we've been experiencing has convinced me to build a new program from scratch that will replace the current system. That way we will be able to fix problems or add features faster and easier. This will not result in any drastic cosmetic changes, but it will be drastic behind the scenes. I've already built the foundation, but I have no timetable for a release date yet. Why is this important to you? It isn't really, but it will allow us to do a lot more things with the forums.<P>That is all :) N
