As I was saying yesterday, sorry it took so long but I put together a webpage <A HREF="http://hometown.aol.com/imalinedancer/myhomepage/index.html" TARGET=_blank>http://hometown.aol.com/imalinedancer/myhomepage/index.html[/b] with a photo of when I went to Garth's house (well, the front of it, that is) along with some details about what that was like. Enjoy! ;)N

Nice photo and cute story! I'm sure the comment about "his" dogs was just a slip of the tongue. :)
In the link you posted above, you inadvertantly included the [/b] in it, which
made it a broken link.
Cheryl
N

Found my way through the broken link - what a sweet story! Thanks for posting it.
Sandy must've had to deal with a lot of comments along the lines of 'Garth's house', 'Garth's kids', 'Garth's pink and purple polka-dot pyjamas' or whatever over the years - a lot of people forget that she and Garth are a marriage and built up their lives together, and she's not just the little woman at home who's had nothing to do with all these wonderful things. So do forgive her if she seemed a little terse - I'm sure she knows it was just a slip of the tongue. Frankly, if I were talking to *anyone* outside those gates I doubt I'd even be speaking anything recognisable as English!
Congratulations for making the trip, and hope you have a lot more opportunities to build your own personal Garth memories.
Angela xN

Yes, it worked.
I would be in disbelief standing at Garth's (and Sandy's) house too. I'm sure she wasn't to offended.N

Ah, the words we have all said what we wished we'd swallowed instead;
It must be difficult for Sandy to deal with many things....most of all some of the times that she is left out of the equation that makes up Garth's life. That includes the mental slips leading to some of the remarks and behaviors related to her husband's attractiveness and desirability. I'd cringe if someone was making some of those remarks about my chosen life partner.
Your remark was innocent enough....but important to share so others can remember; these people are married.
By the way - you are a cutie and look so happy.

Hawk
N

great pic.
I have to agree, I would probably feel the same way if it was all garth garth garth and no us us us.
but on the whole I think she takes it very well, after all she doesn't have to stop and say hi.
bet you were so excited to see the gate. I plan to do that someday...perhaps at the convention we can have a gate crash.....lol
SarahN
