Looks like Garth will be in Brazil in August. If you search #GarthBrooks on Instagram there's a post in Portuguese that translates to:

CONFIRMED the coming of Garth Brooks to Brazil , on August 22 the 60th of Cowboy's Peasant Party Barretos .
In the photo, Garth and the director of the Henry Silver Barretos Cancer Hospital .

This must have been the quietest concert ever.

Its been on their Facebook page since early December.

Unfortunately my Portuguese is not very good. In fact I don't know any at all. Did they say anywhere in there that he was going to be doing a concert in August? Based on that news clip it almost seems like it has more to do with something related to charity or Teammates. I deduced that by the fact that they didn't show anything about the rodeo festival after they mentioned Garth and they did show clips of the hospital and the hospital director. Just my two cents and if I'm completely wrong it wouldn't be the first time.

ok, so that looks more like a concert announcement! interesting- Garth in a concert in Brazil! wonder if they'll get some of the 'special' ireland stage? This would be a fun concert to show on a dvd/digital release!

Very interesting. It does look like a fundraising concert.

Some great quotes from the article...

Silver, in turn, said he was surprised by the availability of the singer, who promptly proposed to bear all travel expenses and lodging him and the team, an expense that, according to the hospital director, reaches R $ 3 millions.
"Even the water that will be placed in the dressing room he is paying. All expenses will be paid from his pocket and saying this is the least he can do. It is the greatest example of giving and solidarity that I met in these 27 years of experience across the Cancer Hospital, "he said.

The director also says that Brooks decided to look knew because of his commitment to social causes. In 2009, next to the actor Bo Mitchell, the singer created the "Teammates for Kids Foundation", in which artists, athletes and celebrities donate 100% of caches for the benefit of child care programs.
"He's very supportive. He thinks that the meaning of life, if not this, helping others, has no value. He is an example and I think that's what we learn with him. He's the most charismatic person I ever met in my life, "says Silver, who is also the singer's fan.
For Brooks, love should be the greatest inspiration of all. "Ninety-nine percent of the world's arguments are based on ego and power. It is madness that? If you deal with love, only good things can happen, "he says.

Good on Garth. Classy move.

I don't think people realize Garth never charges for appearances for T4K or any of the camps, and, in fact, pays the overhead for T4K. He doesn't publicize his visits to children's hospitals, either.

Could somebody tell me where the official Brazil announcement is? This charity or whatever it's for seems to be jumping the gun and Garth's official team is focusing on Dallas in Sept. What's the word from you guys in the know??

Obviously this fell through.

I don't think so; a friend of mine who works at XM said G & T took August off for a stage redesign, finishing touches on their album and T4K events. Since T4K is involved in Zones, this could be part of that effort.

Do you guys not check out Garth's Facebook page? He announced the Brazil show yesterday. It's happening on Saturday and benefits a Cancer hospital.

I looks like the hospital has actually been promoting the show since at least early July. We've just not been very good sleuths! https://www.facebook.com/hcancerbarretos

So is the concert hold at a actual stadium/arena, with the full band, or is a one man show type deal in a small venue?

Mr_Sevens

I see no reason to doubt it's the full show with the band and everything. An article at GB.com says he'll be performing at the world's largest rodeo. Rodeo shows are typically pretty big.

There's a chance that there could be some footage on Periscope. I've seen a handful of concerts on there recently. I need to figure out the time zone difference, but I think I'll give it a look. I was able to watch some Tim McGraw and ZBB live last night.

I'm very new to Periscope so if anyone has tips on how to find stuff let me know! I've just been searching on Twitter. Not sure if that's the best method or not.

In cruising videos, it seems like it was a lot of the usuals. SOTF, Cheyenne, Two Piña, River, etc. he opened with Rodeo...came up on a lift. There was a big curtain hiding the band. He came up, and then the curtain opened up to reveal the rest. Not sure if there was an acoustic encore or not. During FILP somebody else came up and sang the third verse.

Still, I'd really like to see the actual setlist, since he appeared to sing We Shall Be Free, which hasn't been done very much on this latest tour if I'm not mistaken. Also, I don't think Trisha was there, so this was the first all-Garth concert in a long time. Anyone been able to track down a setlist yet?
