Garth makes it clear he has sold 1,1 mill+ tickets on this tour, including Ireland. The million ticket holder will be awarded during the 5 nights.

Also, Garth would like to take the attendance record with this tour. But he is not sure what number he has to beat...

The buyers of Dublin Tickets will be so pleased... NOT! :/

I wouldn't think counting those shows that didn't happen and if I recall those tickets were refunded after the falling out... they're still counting those numbers for this tour???

There was a item about this. Garth has to beat 7.7 million tickets. U2 holds the records. Garth is ranked third with his 96-98 world tour that sold I think
around 5.3 or 5.5 million.

What a slap in the face with counting those tickets especially since he wrote us off saying something about how can he be back till the licencing laws are fixed. How can he count those tickets.... But then again, who am I to say, he might as well. Ireland did take false objections into consideration. Works both ways, I suppose.

I thought the million tickets was just for the USA tour, has anyone add up how many tickets he has sold in the usa, its already at a million isnt it?

I remember that article Brett Dale. He is trying to overtake U2. He even copied their stage for croke park. Apparently it was a special made stage for croke park, but I dont believe that. If you google U2 stage, there's a round stage that came out into the pitch. GB had a very similar design for Croke Park. The design was printed in a newspaper in July. It came from somewhere, he was eyeing up U2 for quite awhile.

Wonder what else is true about that billboard article? Europe and Australia next year?

He definitely said including the Irish tickets.

Why not count Ireland? They were still tickets that were sold.

Ireland was a comeback special, was it not? Not part of the tour? They were separate shows to the tour... They shouldn't be counted.

They never happened, so can we really say they aren't part of the tour? We never really got that far. It was never said one way or another.

That's true. We'll never know.

Everything I have read said Ireland is not part of the world tour, its a separate event. I still think he has hit a million without the irish tickets.

He said in the press conference that with the Ireland gigs he has sold a million. Without Ireland 600,000 or so.

It doesnt add up. Not including the irish concerts, but he has sold 58 shows including the Tulsa shows that went on sale last week. 58 shows with an average of 18,000 per concert is 1,044,000 tickets in America.

With today's concert being the 40th concert in Greensboro, thats roughly 720,000 tickets. + 400,000 Irish tickets is 1,120,000 tickets. Which was the 1.1 million he was talking about.

Wonder why he wouldn't play the three licensed concerts over here. If he had played them, would he have been able to include the two cancelled concerts in his numbers.

Ireland was the Kickoff of the tour, and the fact is that tickets were sold, so they should count. Should they not count the tickets that got sold and the people at the US shows didn't make it? Tickets and attendance are separate things, if they count sold, then Ireland counts.

The 1,000,000 will be in attendance AT one of the Greensboro shows this weekend he said... So wouldn't include St. Louis or Tulsa numbers.

... And would take about 55 more shows to get to 2,000,000... Using that 18k average.

so if he averages seven shows per city, about eight more cities to reach 2 million.

That isn't necessarily true. I don't believe that the Greensboro shows were completely sold out, so someone buying a ticket this week (after the Tulsa on sale) could have purchased the 1,000,000th ticket.

During his Minneapolis press conference he mentioned that the 1,000,000 ticket was already sold and they were looking for that person. So it wasn't sold yesterday.
