Just saw this and I am so excited! I think he will announce the tour!!! Could it be sooner rather then later? Can't wait till the 21st!:D. http://www.wwgp1050.com/2012/10/09/garth-brooks-leaves-door-open-for-more-performances-at-wynn-las-vegas/

I love the theatrical side of all of these announcements. Very cool. My prediction? They're going to record their duet album

My prediction is that they have already recorded it and it will be out in time for Christmas.

That would be AWESOME. I thought about that, but went with the more conservative prediction. Hope you're right and I'm wrong. It does seem a little strange that they would have an announcement to say, "We're going to start recording." That would be about a year wait...

...maybe an announcement to say they are going to do small shows together, but on tour? Something like Vegas, but on the road?

Goosebumps! Maybe the duet album and plans for a new solo album 2014 to promote the tour!?

I love Trisha to death, but am I the only one who hopes, 2014 sees a new SOLO studio album from Garth and a new Tour by Garth.

I think that's coming....I just wonder if there is something in between then and now. I just don't think he would have a press conference on Oct 21, 2012 to announce something that's coming out in 2014.

would be very nice, but I don't know about that- still, a "big announcement" has a nice ring of future plans......

Hate to say it like this then, but I doubt- HIGHLY DOUBT you'll see Garth touring without Trisha.. it'll be a 'co tour' type of thing where you have to sit through her 'set' in order to get to his set.. that's a prediction- one I admittedly would like to be wrong about

There's no doubt at all- Garth has stated he will not tour without Trisha. He also said the chance to get to tour without any guilt or family pressure was truly a gift for him and he was looking forward to firing it back up. And Trisha is fabulous in concert; I've seen her, but not Garth, so I hope he comes near me.

I'm gonna go all out on this prediction...2 albums, the duets album and a new solo album, AND a new tour.

Skywise
10-20-2012, 01:33 AM
I'd say that that'd be a best case scenario but not likely.. New solo album? doubtful, though much desired- new tour? possible- but it'll be in 2014 at the earliest (I keep telling people- 2014 is a PERFECT TIME for it as it's the 25th anniversary of his breaking into the music scene...) duet album? more likely...

Maybe that George Strait tribute album will see the light of day !!!

...but seriously, I could see the duet album being done and ready to come out...

OR ...maybe Lost Sessions 2??????? I'll take more from the vault!!!

Garth!! Release a box set all out of the vault......Maybe the last disc in the set could be all acoustic.....

I'm listening to Learning To Live Again right now.....Garth , please tell me you "Learning" to "RECORD" again!!!!!..haha

I'm gonna stick with the most likely scenario being the duets album. I'm hesitant to predict a tour or anything more than the album though!

There's nothing at his official website of an upcoming announcement, then again his sites hasnt been updated for years. Does anyone here, know, anyone in the know, hopefully
we will find out soon enough.

Thanks. Did Garth already show? I'm a little surprised there hasn't been more activity on here lately regarding the press conference...

That livestream is showing local news and not any red carpet stuff.

the hall of fame just tweeted this pic though of Garth arriving:

Garth arrived about 10 mins to 5 Nashville time and the live stream cut to the local news at the top of the hour :( I am not sure there is a press conference planned. I just took it that he was going to tell everyone at the ceremony maybe when he was inducted.

Does anyone know when the ceremony starts? Can't be much longer!

George Strait is performing the Garth Books hit “Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old).” and Pop superstar James Taylor performs “The River” to honor Garth Brooks.
We must be getting close if this is when he will say anything.

I don't actually remember any of the articles saying there would be a press conference and I only remember one saying there would be an announcement. Were we duped?

Good point. I guess I should have said "announcement" not "press conference." I just figured he would have some sort of press conference. I don't think he's just going to say it in passing.
