I got an invitation today to see Garth at the Colosseum again. Unlike last time, my heart sank when I opened it because I knew I couldn't make it out to Vegas for a 3rd time this year. Why couldn't it be at Caesars Atlantic city this time? I hope anyone that goes will post a report and some pics.

Sure thing! I wish I was going, but I took some pics of the invitation for you. If you can't read it, let me know and I will have my hubby scan it.

Garth as usual manages to find the time for his charities especially his T4K.

That's an awesome invitation thanks for the pics. I'm so sorry you can't go Chili but you do have the beautiful memories of the last show.

i know i would love to go in you place.... being in that kinda intimate setting with him could get me one step closer to my dream of meeting him... im still kicking myself for not going to the BOK opening....

Misty- I wouldn't kick yourself too hard about it- God has a reason for all that He does.. If it wasn't supposed to be where you were, in a place where you could meet Garth, then you wouldn't be there. If it's meant to be, God will find a way to make it happen...

I think someone metion earlier that they got an invite because they visit and gamble at a casino regular (Not Caesars I think) And they weren't great spenders either. Have to find the right casino and start gambling I guess ;)

I was invited last time as my husband & I play at the different Harrahs owned properties.

So is this by invite only? Or can someone "invite" themselves to this event? I wouldn't mind trying to go to it. But I haven't been invited. Someone post some info. and let us know. Thanks fellow Garth fans!

P.S. Is there a link to where someone could possibly sign up to go? I mean, it is for a good cause and all.

I would like to know more info too. Thinking about going to Vegas anyway, (wasn't going to go til April) but I can change that... even if I can't get tickets maybe I'll get a chance to finally meet him!!

The invitation that Chili posted for us says.. it's a private VIP performance.. tickets will not be sold to the public.. but Caesars has a FEW reserved for their best players.

I don't know about this event, but the last one was an invite only, private event. I received an invite from Caesars last time, but haven't received one yet for this event. I don't think that I could go even if I got an invite. :(

That's true about the beautiful memories of his July show, but I know what an awesome show I will be missing. I am really depressed the last few days knowing that I have the chance to go, but can't. :(

I know I will see Garth again someday, but there will never be a better venue to see him than the Colosseum.

Caesars Palace is owned by Harrahs, so you can play at any of their casinos across the country. I think I got the second invite because my host knows how much I love Garth Brooks. I made it very clear to her that Garth was the sole reason for our trip to Vegas in July, because we were already there in the beginning of the year.

I have a lot of vacation days that I need to take out this year. So I am only an invitation short of going to Las Vegas! :-)

Not likely any of these casinos are present in these parts of the world. In fact, gambling is illegal in Norway (even slot machines are against the law, believe it or not).

But if I had an invitation I would definately go. I can't believe it's almost a year since the four magic nights in Kansas City.

I'm going, too!!!!!! I am SO excited!!!! I was at the Saturday concert in KC last year and have been in withdrawal ever since. I've never been to Vegas, but a co-worker got the offer and, knowing how I feel about the G-man (largely due to the pictures of him I have plastered on my office walls and the constant music I have piping through my CD player), he invited me along!

So, a question for those of you that have done this before... How do they determine seating? We have no idea where we're sitting as of yet. They said we can pick up the tickets at a certain time that day, but that's all we know. Should we be in line several hours beforehand? Any tips would be incredibly appreciated! Thanks!

Well, I just got my invite in the mail ! I already had booked it ahead of time though. lol

Christy, you won't know where you are seated until you actually get the tickets in hand. ANY seat in the there is a good one though. You have to pick up the tickets between 3 and 8:30pm on Saturday, in July, I was there at about 2:30 and there weren't that many people in line, so it worked out fine. If you can get there around that time, I think that would be best. That is what I plan on doing. I hope this helps you!

Oh, also, you can take pics, just they told me now videos.

That's great Christy! The seating is assigned by Caesars. It doesn't matter if you pick up your tickets in the afternoon or right before the show, so going early will not change anything. I know because I asked my host and at the box office. The Colosseum only holds 4,000 so there are no bad seats. Have a wonderful time and report back!

I had asked my host also and they said that the seats are preassigned, but everyone that I spoke to who got in line early got some pretty good seats. I was in the 4th or 5th row!!!

I guess I'm just superstitious, so I will be in line early. lol

My daughter and I actually made it to the concert. Garth was his awesome self but it was definately different to KC or LA. He talked a lot and sang mostly cover songs. No Shamelss, no MTAM. The crowd was an eclectic group and not your typical Garth crowd. No standing and singing along...no standing ovation and no encore. That being said, it was still awesome. He did the one song that I always wanted to see him do live which is "Turn the Page." My set list is sketchy but here goes.
He opened with MTY and went into a medley of Haggard and Jones. Next came Cat Stevens and then Mrs. Robinson. After that he did a medly of James Taylor. I've got PLM and WSBI written down and I"m drawing a blank. Then Night Moves (oh yeah!) and Turn The Page, Thunder Rolls, That Summer, Unwound, The Chair, TOAK, Rickey Skaggs Medley, UAP, 1982,
10' Away (one of my faves) FILP and ended with The Dance. Altogether 21+ and lasted about 1 1/2 hours.
He was wearing light blue jeans, a blue T-Shirt and and red-checked western shirt and hat.
He was just great. It was really, really speacial. I learned a lot more about T4K which is just and incredible foundation.

I went also! I didn't get good pics.

I started off my trip with my jacket and camera getting ripped off at a casino. :( I bought another camera for $500.00 !!!!!!!! And that piece of crap wouldn't focus, so all in all, it was not a good time for me. I lost about 2 years worth of pics on that camera.

I did manage to get some pics on my phone and also some videos. I am going today to pick up the adapter that I need to get those off of my phone. I will post them as soon as I can.
