I thought abotu that too!

they'd be silly not to get Garth's ok or the songwriter's ok's to use TTR... or heck, have GArth re-record an NBA version!

I was thinking since they named the team The Thunder Rolls they may have already spoken to Garth. :)
TTR sound effects.. Garth singing an NBA version… during player introductions.. would be awesome!!

I think the team's named the thunder.......

The Thunder Rolls could be a great theme song though, if reworked lyrically

The team name is Oklahoma City Thunder, should be an interesting jersey, colors, and logo.

Guess I misread the article.. thought it meant the "nickname" was TTR.. any way still think The NBA should consider using Garth in some capacity.

Considering Garth's recent involvement with the (T)Royals organization ---re FILP on the jumbotron during games---it seems natural to me that he would also be part of an OKC team named Thunder.

Actually, it isn't official yet. Just saw on our local news that there is a list of 5 potential names and The Thunder is one of them. I like it the best, the others are kinda stupid sounding. Anyway, I think the name will be chosen next week. Something about a web site called thunder.com will lose their domain name next Friday.

now all they need is a logo... hmm, interesting to read about the quickly getting 'thunder' off the 'net though- makes it more likely perhaps that it'll be the name..

I agree, get Garth watching... honestly, a version of TTR for the team- great PR idea...
