Here's is the song. This version is completely open-ended. Just add your verse in wherever you think it fits. After March 1, I will print the final song out and will work to get it to Garth. If anyone on this board, or anyone "just reading" knows Garth and how to get this to him please let us know.

When Garth blew in to Nashville
and we all lost our minds
Four chords of "Low Places"
were all we had to hear
to know that country music
had just "shifted gears"

You swung from ropes and flew
With your life and health at stake
But the music and the love
Is what made it all so great

Chorus:

"You say your career's at half-time
So we all wait patiently
And listen to the music that has set our spirits free
Its that fan-and-star love story
A connection that's true
Have faith, dear Garth, you're in our hearts, we'll still be here for you"

From KC to LA
It had been ten years
You blew us away
With song, laughter, and tears
It only took one guitar strum
And voices from around the world
Were singing as one

So thank you to our G-Man
for giving us the chance
"for a moment all the world was right"
as we shared "The Dance"

We'll all leave the light on
til' you come back again
It's gonna be a party
and we won't let it end!!

I could put this song to music...I've been singing and playing for 15 years...but PG won't let you post links on here...so I don't know how I would post it on.

Thank you for your interest. If you go to the other thread called "A song for Garth" you will see a youtube video of this song set to music.

its not a copyrighted song, so i think that in this case it would be ok to post a link once you had one up...

The Leprechauns have invaded our territory! I like it! Great verse and great addidion to the song to represent the international fans! That crowd surfing thing that happened over there, dude... At least we can all watch that moment on DVD. VERY COOL!

If I told you that I would have to give up all my leprechaun rights and privileges:)

Actually I will also be in Ireland in May for my sister's wedding. Any plans to visit Donegal?

If anyone wants to add to this long version, please do so ASAP. I am going to send this to Garth as well. Just cut and paste your words where you want them. I want everyone to be able to contribute to this long version. The more people who join in, the better it will be.... I should send this in a booklet along with the picuture, so please add any verse by tomorrow night. I will type it up on Monday morning and put it in a report binder for Garth to read.

My little addition, if it fits in.

So Garth , take care of the babies, ""Do What You Gotta Do""
But ""When there's no one else around"" and you are feelin that old ""Fever"" and feeling like ""Tearin It Up "" again, and you may wonder ""How You Ever Gonna Know"" if we are still ""Wrapped Up In You"" well Cowboy just look out across that Oklahoma Horizon and the lights you see in the distance are the lights we leave burning, while waiting for you!

Moving up to top in response to "help". There were two audio verisons of this song on youtube. They are no longer there. They were great.

Enjoy again!
