I think Garth had really good numbers--and I believe he will continue too sale--
Lately all the rappers enter at #1 and fall down the chart real fast--also I believe Jay z numbers are low for him.

Just think what he could have done with a CD full of brand new written and recorded this century music !!!!!!!!!!!

I think its a great effort!!!!

the Ultimate Hits will open at no3 on the top 200,(behind Jayz and the eagles) and number two on the country album charts with sales of 352 thousand.

He has done allright. Record sales aren't what they used to be regardless of artist. Most people just download the songs that they want on ITUNES. Although to do this with Garth is impossible.

I respect Garth's wishes to not go thru iTunes...think about it, and I know he said this in the press conference in August, do you wanna pay $12 for the whole 3 CD/DVD pack (which you can put on your iPod) or, download them individually for $1.99 a pop? And you wouldn't get the DVD....hmmmmm...tough choice...again, Garth's making things affordable for all of us :)

I wouldn't have bought the whole package off iTunes. I would have only bought the new songs or maybe just More Than A Memory. So for me it would have only been 3.96. (4 X .99)

he didn't sell much less than Scarecrow did during its first week...these are VERY good numbers for Garth.

1st, individual songs are only $0.99, not $1.99.

2nd, on itunes, you can buy songs individually for $0.99 cents, or you can download the whole album for just $9.99 no matter how many songs are on it. Since this was a double album, itunes would have probably charged $14.99, though I'm sure Garth could have negotiated to have them sell it for less.

3rd, Like GBsgirl said, I wouldn't have downloaded the whole album, just the 4 new songs and maybe Beer Run, since it's the extended version. In all, it would have cost me just $4.95. The CD was affordable, yes, but not a good deal by today's standards. Just sayin...
