For the past few months, I've been listening to this never-before recorded Garth song called Walls Into Windows. It was recorded by an indie artist by the name of Tim Porter and appears on his 2002 lp The Mirror. I reccommend that everyone listen to this either on Rhapsody, Itunes, or Yahoo because this is something that Garth himself should've done (I wonder myself at times.)

If anyone wants to know anything about Tim Porter go to:

very cool!

Here are the lyrics

Walls Into Windows

VERSE

I stood in the pieces of my broken heart
Victim of life's oldest games
Said never again would I fall apart
That's the last time I'll go through the pain
So I built these walls all around me
Swore never to be hurt again
But the trouble with walls is
They keep the hurt out
But they won't let the love in

CHORUS

You turned the walls into windows
You opened every door
In the heart of the night
You turned on the lights
Guided me back to love's shore
You turned the rain into rainbows
And all of my gray skies to blue
You turned the walls into windows
And let the light of love shine through.

TURNAROUND
VERSE

I was sadly content to live in the dark
I'd hang inside of those walls
I'll never know how you got to my heart
I never intended to fall
You were bound and determined to love me
You started by being a friend
You opened my eyes
Let me see through the pain
Now I'm learning to love again.

CHORUS
TAG

You turned the walls into windows
And let the light of love shine through.

all I can think while I'm listening to it is:

yeah, it's a good 'sounding' song-

garth might have pulled it off if he wanted to.. it's got a great idea (the walls....)

and , oh,, I also heard my self saying

"what would simon say" and "you are def. not going through to the next round"

not bad- the song...

No offense taken, but you got to admit, he does look old enough to be my grandaddy (May God rest on my real Grandaddy's soul.)
