Volunteering is good according to Jon Bon Jovi.

Bon Jovi gave the keynote speech for the National Volunteer Conference in Washington on the weekend. "Im here to applaud all of you who volunteer," he said. "You don't need the cameras. You can start a revolution one soul at a time, in your community."

Bon Jovi is a majority owner of the football club Philadelphia Soul. The team has to date raised more than $400,000 for community groups in the area. The singer also serves as the liaison for the Four Seasons Hope of Charity and is donating profits from the new Bon Jovi single to Habitat for Humanity.

When talking about the good of volunteers, Bon Jovi also told the crowd "I've done it all. I've done it all. But I got more of a rush when I went to the Northern Home for Children in North Philly and said, 'We built a playground.'"
