Hello Scott!!!

I have known your website for more than five months!!! I have wondered who is the administrator of this site, and that was you!!! Nice to see such a great Garth collector like you. I know you might not be interested in sharing or selling your copies of Garth stuff, but if you're willing to sell something, please know that I want to be in the list. Mostly I collect his official/promo worldwide releases.

From your profile here, I noticed that you are into Taekwondo too. I'm from Korea. I bet you're so great at it. Take care.

This may be a silly question, but how does one start collecting? For instance, don't have anything to trade with anyone and would like to begin building a small collection of shows to begin trading?

Thanks in advance.

An update to my DVD process...

I have completed VH1 Storytellers w/ Belleau Wood. I also have Ireland and Back (*cannot duplicate by request of the sender*)

I should have done (by the time I get home) Storytellers W/O Belleau Wood, VH1 Honors (performingwith James Taylor) and the AM Oklahoma Clip from Leno (*all on one DVD w/ menus, etc..*)

What are you asking for your DVDs?

Skywise
06-22-2005, 04:11 PM
hey there PJ!

What would you offeR? I know you probably have Garth stuff on VHS or audio that I don't have, (hehe) so that'd be my first choice..

what would you offer as a reasonable price for a DVD failing that though?

Skywise

nodding- I understand!

Well, I've been offered (so far) from $5 to $20 for the DVD's each.. I prefer to trade if anything w/o money.. do you have a list of stuff that you have on Vhs Garth wise that I could look at? I know we've traded stuff years in the past but I am curious what oyu might have that I don't have.. woudl you be interested in that?

How goes the project?

hey there! It's still ongoing- I'm taking a break to do my wedding video for my wife's birthday (it's not till next month but i want to get it done and have it as a surprise.....)

Here's what I have so far...:

Garth Video Collections I & II (1 DVD)
Garth Brooks: Live in Central Park
This is Garth Brooks
Mad About You Season 2 Disc 3 (for the Garth cameo)
SNL 25th Anniversary special (for Garth's involvement)
Garth Brooks: Ireland and Back: (this one was a gift and will not be traded- check for another version later on...)
Garth Brooks: Oprah Show (entire show, + 2nd appearance) & extras
Garth Brooks: Trying to Rope the World
Garth Brooks: This is Garth Brooks Too!
Garth Brooks: Double Live- Central Time Zone show

that's what i have so far- on the drawing board (immediate future) are:

Call me Claus

from there I am wondering how I am going to go about it- by album, by era, by year, by "shows" (i.e. a leno DVD, etc..) or some other way..

thanks for asking!!!

Scott

Hey Scott, long time no see. :) Any chance of posting some screenshots of these DVD's? Maybe one of each special? I'd really like to see what some of the image quality is like, as I have some of this stuff, and would like to see if any look better than my copies. ;)

Wow. Fast reply. :) The software I use to play DVD's (powerDVD) can take screenshots. I've rarely seen a DVD program that cant capture images from DVD's. Try looking through the program you use to play DVD's to see if it has this feature....what program do you use anyways?

Thanks for that screenshot btw. I dont have call me clause.

Isn't Call Me Claus on DVD already? It even has a bonus Garth feature on it, if I remember correctly. :)

Sandi- it's on DVD, yes- but I have it on VHS, and hey, I'm not gonna go out of my way to buy it (when Iv'e never seen it released in stores, though I know it is somewhere) if i allready have it.. but that being said- what's hte Garth "extra" feature on it?

if it's something worth buying, maybe I will... but as (to be honest) I wasn't that impressed with it- it's just something I have to do for my collection....

Ahhh... ok. :)

I think I got mine from amazon.com, it was pretty cheap. The bonus Garth clip in the extras was Garth in the studio, I think he was talking about the making of the movie? Or about Christmas with his kids? Ugh... I'm going to have to go watch it now. :D I think last time I watched it was two Christmases ago!

for those who may be wondering- I think I fixed the links on my collection site..

new to the dvd collection (prob. as of tomorow)

"Friends in live Places"- the Wal*Mart concert.. its' ok video, there are some hiccups, but seeing as how I got it from an insider from walmart I'm not complaining... it's on DVD next!

then a TY/GB DVD (btw, she's on the walmart show).. then, probably a Garth Christmas DVD, or the like...
