John Mayer is a young and refreshing artist. His sound is really unique and relaxing! He plays the guitar with great talent. If you know John Mayer, please let me know what you think of him.

Saw him perform in concert last July. Quite the guitar player, although I agree with one of his own assessments:
While performing on CMT's "Crossroads" with Brad Paisley, John said, "My voice would have gotten me eliminated on the first round on 'American Idol'"
Still, It was a good show.

Really cool that you saw him perform. I'm from Holland, so it's not very often that you can go to one of his concerts. He would have opened a show of Sting, but Sting got sick and the show got cancelled. Real bummur!

I've heard of him but am not familiar with his music. There was an article that I happened to see online today about him being inducted into his high school's Hall of Fame but barred from the ceremony...click here (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/S/SINGERS_DETENTION?SITE=TNNAT&SECTION=ENTERTAINMENT&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT).

Oh, I love him!! I don't think his voice is bad, it just adds to his style. :)
I can't believe he was barred from attending that, that's too bad. They should have been prepared, or maybe he should have let them know.

I love John Mayer. Great guitar player. If you have his DVD concert from Birmingham, AL... there's a great guitar solo when he sings 'Covered In Rain'. He rocks!

Covered In Rain is my favourite song on the DVD. Indeed the guitarsolo is absolutely a piece of art. It really trips me out! I love it!

Hey Paula, thank you for putting that link in your thread. I just had to look up the word 'barred' in the dictionary. I'm from Holland, so I don't recognize every word. Again I learned something today!
My advise to you is to buy his DVD or CD 'Any Given Thursday'. It really rocks! You'll be sold at the first song! I promise...
