Music genre evolves over time, welcomes new fans

It was April of 1989, however, when the face of country music changed forever. That was when an Oklahoma man named Garth Brooks released his debut album. Once his third single, “The Dance,” hit the radio airwaves, he made fans of all types of music open their ears.

Once the album “No Fences” hit the shelves, there was no turning back. “Friends In Low Places” was on the radio and the floodgates had opened. Brooks and others were beginning to perform more and more “rock ‘n’ roll” country tunes.

To this day, Brooks continues to release number-one hits.

lots of Garth and more!
