Hi, I am going to Spring training in March to see Garth and I have an idea to raise money for the Touch Em All Foundation. I would like some opinions on this idea, so please email me directly or through the forum with your responses. I found a way to create Garth baseball cards with his stats on the back and I would sell them to raise money for the charity. All of the money would go to touch em all. I am not doing this to make a profit, I am solely doing it for the charity & because I think it would be really cool to have a Garth baseball card & to give him one. So that everyone knows that this money will go to charity, I thought that all of the money orders would be made out to Touch Em All (so that only they can cash them) but sent to me so that I know who paid for a card & where to send it. Please let me know what you think of this idea and what would be a good price for the cards. I had thought maybe $10 per card.

Thanks
Julie

Welcome to the Planet, Julie! :) I think it's a wonderful idea but I know nothing about the legal aspect of it. Anybody?

Let me also add a welcome to the Planet Julie!

Although I love where your heart is coming from on this, such a fundraiser could not be a PG sanctioned event. As Krystal brought up, there would be all kinds of issues with using both Garth's image and the Royals logo - which I'm sure he'd be wearing - on something being sold.

Please stick around the Planet and let us know more about you, the GB fan! And of course, as a PG member, you must now accept the mission of delivering a hug to Garth from the Planet when you see him!

Now that Garth is finished his run of spring training with The Royals, I wonder how Teammates is doing as a result? Anybody know? And did Garth meet with lots of the area children like he did when he was here as a Met?
