Ever since she was six, she'd wanted a pony
One she could call her own
And on the eve of her eighth birthday,
She finally got what she'd been wanting for so long
As he muzzled her hand, she laughed with delight...
It was love at first sight.
She'd given up on finding someone to love,
She thought she couldn't go on any more
But like in a fairy tale, love always finds a way
And she found what she'd been looking for
From the first hellos, she knew it felt right...
It was love at first sight.
They fell in love and got married
Like a dream, seven years flew by
The doctor looked up with a smile on his face
And said, "The newest addition just arrived"
She looked into her newborn's blue eyes...
It was love at first sight.
I wrote this poem after "falling in love" with the horse that lives across the street from me, and I got to thinking about how I could turn it into a poem. It was fun to write, and I hope you enjoyed reading it!
