I wrote this poem after I saw the video to "Have You Forgotten?" by Darryl Worley, and I thought about my 4 year old cousin Kylie. I wondered what she thought as she watched the attacks on 9-11. anyhow, here it is...

He watched it all on TV
He saw the towers fall
A little boy of only five,
Too young to comprehend it all

But he saw his momma cryin'
When she hung up the phone
That's when he understood it -
They'd have to make it on their own

How does it look to this child?
What goes through his mind?
You'd understand the world much better
If you looked through a child's eyes

He knows the difference 'tween good and bad
And he knows that that man's the latter
'Cause evil's why his daddy ain't comin' home
It's the reason his world is shattered

How does it look to this child?
What goes through his mind?
You'd understand the world much better
If you looked through a child's eyes

And as his momma sleeps tonight
He prays to God above
"Tell daddy that we miss him
And please send him all our love"

How does it look to this child
To see people who are evil and unkind?
We'd all understand this life better
If we looked through a child's eyes

thanks for reading...hope you enjoyed it.
