Did anyone else watch her show last night? I'm not familiar with a lot of her music but thought I'd tune in to get a hint of what her show might be like in case I am visiting Las Vegas while she is there.

I thought it was okay, but nothing really spectacular. I was expecting a lot more. I know they didn't air the entire show, so maybe they have more dazzle that they didn't show on TV.

I was surprised at the short hair. I thought it looked good on her...didn't make her look so skinny and waif-like.

Was it a tv special Paula? Or some sort of pay-per-view?

Of course I didn't see her show here, just did see some cuts on German TV. I did browse the Internet for her tickets and I nearly got a heart attack. Paula, how much will you pay for a ticket? The site I visited said VIP-seats are 450 dollars each ticket, good seats are 175 dollars each and bad seats 125 dollars each. LOL. Well....the tickets might be more expensive as the whole vacation then. So I better start saving money from now on. Ha!

It wasn't a pay-per-view. It was on regular TV. Can't remember (and am too lazy to go into the other room to look), but I think it was on CBS at 9 p.m. EST.

Blue, I won't pay more than $80 for a concert ticket and that's really pushing it...it would have to be someone I really, really wanted to see. I think $50 is more than enough for a concert (although I'm paying $70 to see Tim McGraw next week, but that's because of the seats I'll be in).

Paula, I just think they have to make such high prices because they did spend a lot of money for builing her that concerthall. So their expenses have to be coming in on one way, by selling tickets in high levels. But for me, if I'd be ( I hope I will one day) in Las Vegas, I guess I wouldn't gamble but getting me a ticket for Celine's show. And as you said if you like someone and you would LOVE to see him/her, why not? I also would pay 175 Dollars to see Garth live again.

And add to that the fact that Celine is getting 100 million a year, plus half of the ticket sales, so it sounds to me like the casino has to do everything they can just to break even on this deal. I'm sure that's not really the case, or else they wouldn't have done all this, but geez, it all seems too pricey, from the consumer to the employer.

Plus I'm sure the paying audience is helping to underwrite all the comp tickets that are given to the high rollers for zip.

First let me say that I hate her hair...it makes her look OLD! I watched the first half hour of the opening night special, and I had watched her the day before on the Oprah special and she was funny, but a little too "fluffy" for me. I hope Ceasar's Palace knows what they are doing!

I agree with you Paula, the show was good but I too, expected more.

I didn't care for the outfit she was wearing.....the red see-through thing:o Her hair looked okay but she has such a long face, that I think longer hair looks better on her.

If I ever have the chance to go to Las Vegas, it would probably be for the sole purpose to see Celine and other shows as I'm not much of a gambler.
