How exciting it was to get an envelope with the Garth Brooks Teammates For Kids Foundation logo in my mail!
Don sent a receipt for my donation, which was pretty cool, I've never gotten one before, and I know they aren't required to send them unless your donation was $250. So for whatever reason, I'm glad they shared what happens to our money once they cash our checks, and I wanted to share part of the letter here:
Upon receipt of your donation, we immediately processed the check through our account at Merrill Lynch. The Philanthropic Services Division will be responsible for the short and long term management of all of these funds. Please know that we take the management and disbursement of these funds seriously and that your donation is important in our team effort in helping needy children. We'd like to thank you for being our "Teammate" in this effort of helping children in need.
The receipt was signed by Don and the bottom of the letter includes a part to send back with the next donation! Thank you Don for keeping us informed, and thank you Moni for taking such good care of the children's money!
