I was just skimming through the latest copy of CW and noticed an article about this book: Garth Brooks: Country Music Superstar by Laura Lee Wren.
It states that the book is targeted for readers in the sixth grade and up, to teach about following your dreams and relying on determination, talent and hard work to overcome obstacles.
One of the kid-friendly stories they shared in the article was when Garth was in fourth grade, he took the stage at his school talent show as a giant Fig Newton cookie:D

Have you heard of this book before, cause I haven't?

I'm not familiar with the book but I found it at Amazon, along with a little write up.

I remember Jay Leno getting Garth to sing the fig newton song on a Tonight Show appearance.
