I think its pretty impressive when Garth had the second biggest selling country cd of 2002 considering the man was not out on tour or promoting his cd anywhere this year, he was busy at home being Dad. With the various other big names releasing cd's he still managed to stay at the top of the list.

This is from Billboard.com....

Billboard Top Country Albums of '02

1. O Brother, Where Art Thou? , Various

2. Scarecrow, Garth Brooks

3. Drive, Alan Jackson

4. Home, Dixie Chicks

5. No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems, Kenny Chesney

That is very impressive!

How sad that the CMA's didn't even recognize "Scarecrow" with an nomination for best album. :(

Does anybody know how many copies Scarecrow has sold? I've been wondering this for months.

I just checked the RIAA.com site and did a search of Gold/Platinum sales for Scarecrow..

It says that on 12/11/2001 it was certified at 3 million which is Triple Platinum.

Seeing that it's been a year since then, I am sure it's sold more..I just don't know how to find out. :(

I just hope they keep selling, and I know they will!!

I think, this album doesn't need to be promoted.
I hope You all agree if i claim that it's the best Album he ever made.

I disagree on that point. For me, NO FENCES was the best album Garth ever released. But it's great that SCARECROW did that well, even I was a little bit disappointed when I listened to it the first time.

Garth still rocks!

You may be right, No fences has some very good songs
and i like 'em all.
I use this Album everytime i'm feeling down and it always brings me back up.
But my favorite Albums are Scarecrow and Sevens.
(taste varies)

Does anybody like to tell me how to put smilies in my posts?

Well, thanks for asking this question, since I just went to the page so I could get you a link and there have been some new smilies added. I thought they had looked different in the past week or two, but didn't investigate.#-o

Here's the link - Smilies (http://www.planetgarth.com/forums/misc.php?s=&action=showsmilies).

Thanks Brandon. =D> (hmmm...I guess all the new ones don't work yet)
