I'm not sure if Foxwoods will allow cameras, but if they do, I'm sure Mo will bring her digital.

I can't wait!:)

We are back from our wonderful night.

We meet at Mo's house in RI about 7:00, (I couldn't get out of work any earlier in the day:( ) And collected our stuff and heading over to Foxwood's. I have never been there before, this place is awesome and it is huge, there are little shops and of course Casino rooms everywhere. Well we got there just in time because it started to pour.

We got something to eat before heading over to where the show is. The show started about 9:15 or so. Are seats where good, it was like stadium seating, so you didn't have anyone's heads in your way. There were probably about 1000 to 1500 people in the theater, I tried to count but way to many, Paula helped me with my multiplications. :)

The show was awesome, her voice was perfect as always, I know a couple of songs gave me the chills as she was belting them out, especially the last one (Paula has the play list) which was Over The Rainbow.

Everybody was wearing normal attire, Johnny Garcia had on a flowery type shirt. Trisha had on black sandals, no stockings, (couldn't tell if her nails were polished to far away) she had on black pants and a black shear long sleeve blouse with a red shirt under it, with these gold shimmery things that read "Lucky 7", with a black belt around her waist.

She received some beautiful roses from people in the audience and she commented something about I think it is Deanne Carter, I can't remember the whole story, Paula or Mo? Then she said that she tries not to go to the casino when she was there so if we wanted to in her honor we could play number 19 at the roulette table.

Okay I'm sure I missed some things, but I'm tired, so as soon as Paula and Mo get up, I'm sure there will be more added.

Robin :) :)

Thanks for the report Robin! Can't wait to hear more from Mo and Paula ~ sounds like a fantastic concert. Of course, who could expect anything less from Ms Trisha!

Now, about those painted/unpainted toenails.......LMAO! ;)

Trisha had on black sandals, no stockings, (couldn't tell if her nails were polished to far away) Well, they looked painted when I looked with my binoculars.

Anyway, to add to what Robin said, the story about Deana Carter was that she was talking about songs she had passed on and she is good friends with Matraca Berg who wrote Strawberry Wine. I think Trisha had said something to Matraca about giving her some good songs and Matraca mentioned to her that she had passed on a song that ended up going to #1 for the artist...Strawberry Wine. Trisha told us that it was hard to believe that she had a blonder moment than Deana Carter to have passed on the song, but maybe she had just had her roots done.:)

When Trisha first came out, she announced that because of the thunderstorm they had already decided that, if the power went out, they would just sing and play louder.

She also mentioned that she had played a private party recently for a cosmetics company and she made a comment about mascara and Vince Gill's eyelashes, but for the life of me I don't remember what she said (except that she hoped it didn't get back to Vince but was sure it would).;)

Trisha came out at 9:10 p.m. and played until about 10:20 p.m. Then she came back out and played a couple more songs and finished up at 10:35 p.m. Here is the set list:

That's What I Like About You
XXX's and OOO's (An American Girl)
Inside Out
The Song Remembers When
Thinkin' About You
Where Are You Now
Walkaway Joe
For A While
Like We Never Had A Broken Heart
Believe Me Baby (I Lied)
She's In Love With The Boy
I Don't Paint Myself Into Corners
Perfect Love
Wrong Side Of Memphis
How Do I Live

Encore:
I'm So Glad I'm Living In The USA (not sure of the title)
Somewhere Over The Rainbow

It was a challenge writing in the dark.:D

She sang beautifully and put on a great show! We had a lot of fun, Mo took a little trip but didn't have a ticket ;) and we all kept awake for the ride home, but I fell into bed at 2:30 and didn't get up until after 9 this morning. Man, I'm not used to these hours.

Paula,

I totally forgot about Mo's little trip, LOL. thanks for filling in the blanks, I tried to remember everything.

I got home about 3:15am and had about ten lolli pops to stay awake for the drive.

We did have a great time. Can't wait for Mo to post the pictures.

Robin :) :)

I was at the show too! I'm always blown away by Trisha's voice! So amazing! I also loved all the stories she told. She said that she's recorded 3 happy songs and they're doing all of them in the show and the split them up...1/3 of the time you'll be really depressed, then happy, then depressed for a while more, then happy again...too funny! I also loved the encore comment. How they all huddle in the corner and wait for the right moment. How no one can leave even if they wanted to because the lights are out. I laughed a lot that night!

My sister and I went to the meet and greet afterwards. There were only 20 or so of us, but since Trisha is so sweet and spends so much time talking we waited an hour and a half to meet her. It was worth the wait, but man, by that time I was so tired and nervous that I couldn't think straight. I kept dropping things. It was so embarassing. We had the Hazel's Country Cookbook for her to sign and she said she signed her first one a few days ago, but she had never really looked through one. Well she was flipping through and who's recipe should it open up to but Garth's. I couldn't believe it. I think my face turned whiter than white then. She was talking and she kind of paused when she saw it and then kept flipping.

I couldn't form a sentence at all and she probably thought I was the biggest spaz, but it was still cool. We talked about the upcoming fan club party and she said it's in an air conditioned building this year...which is very good news!

When we were leaving her assistant ran after us to see who wrote the cookbook so he could get a copy for Trisha. After he left I started cracking up...I couldn't believe how nervous I was. I've met her before! I shouldn't get that nervous all the time!

Thanks for that review GriggsGarthgirl!

I know how you felt...When I had my first meet and greet with Trisha I drank a pint of Southern Comfort just before and I was slurring my words by the time I got in there. But there was no way I could've went in without that little "boost." I just hope she understood. Maybe this time I'll actually accomplish something by having a nice conversation with her~I want to actually remember my M&G this time. Ya never know if there will be another one.

Glad you had a good time!

Glad you all had such a good time. Foxwoods is a big place. I was there once with my sister when I was visiting her at college in RI.

As far as the story about Strawberry Wine, I remember either Garth or Trisha telling that somewhere before. I think they were with some other artists/writers somewhere talking about songs they'd passed on that became huge hits for someone else. If I remember correctly, Garth couldn't believe Trisha had passed on the song, cause he loves it.

Could someone explain to me just what is so special about this song? And why to Garth too?

Strawberry wine you mean? To Garth I couldn't say, but Trisha always joke about it cause she LOVES matraca Berg and she had given that song to Trisha and Trisha had put it on hold, but for some reason it didn't work for her or she found one she liked better, I'm not quite sure, but she ended up passing it on and Deana Carter got it, so she always joke that it was a very blond moment of her's becasue DC ended up selling a lot of that cd... So that,s the story or something... That,s why it's funny to Trisha, because she says it was stupid her her to pass it along...

According to Trisha, Strawberry Wine sold 4.2 million. But I agree with Trisha, I don't think the song is up to her standards, I can't think of any song on any of Trisha's albums that I'd be willing to give up for it.

Terry, the song is not bad, but I guess I,m too used to deana carter's version cause I really don't see Trisha singing it...

What is the song really about if Garth even has it chosen as one of his own faves on MSN's streaming "Garth" radio? I've heard it but not sure I quite "get it" yet.
