ABC has lined up quite the star power for American Bandstand's 50th: A Celebration, to commemorate the legendary music and dance show's birthday.

Among the artists slated to perform live on the two-hour special, which will be hosted by the show's host Dick Clark, are Michael Jackson, Alanis Morissette, Kiss, Cher, and Stevie Wonder. A "supergroup" of stars spanning all genres and eras of music will perform the Little Richard-led "Good Golly, Miss Molly," though artists haven't been confirmed yet. Naturally, classic moments from the past 50 years will also be included in the special.

American Bandstand debuted as an afternoon dance program in Philadelphia in 1952, before Clark became the first host in 1956 and took it national the following year.

American Bandstand's 50th: A Celebration, which will be pre-taped in Pasadena, Calif., will air on ABC on May 3.
