How do you get the limited edition cover of "Scarecrow"? I thought any pre-order at any retailer or online distributor guaranteed you a limited edition, but then I read that it was only at WalMart... I'm confused.

Thanks guys. :):)

Where exactly did you read that it was only at Walmart?

The Capitol Records website states that all pre-orders through internet or retail will receive the Limited Edition Cover.

I sure hope Moni is right as my very very first on-line order ever was 3 copies if "Scarecrow".
If my first deal turn out to be regular covers I will be less happy:o

Garth Brooks new album release "Scarecrow" will be available with a
different cover ("Limited first edition") at Walmart. You can get
this alternate cover release by pre-order at Walmart ONLY. The songs
on the CD will be exactly the same as on the regular release

Just an addition to the above post - I have e-mailed Capital-Nashville and Amazon this morning to get clarification on what cover the preorders will have - neither has gotten back to me yet. I will share their response if/when I do hear back.

they are also advertising the limited special edition.

Go there... 'cause if ya click on the addy for "Scarecrow" there is a nice article about Garth and nice pictures. Also a video clip.

I am beginning to think that if ya pre-order anywhere..you are going to get the limited edition but I have been wrong before.:(

Just wanted to pass this down as maybe some helpful info.

I preordered my copy at Music Land a several weeks ago at the mall. Why not try gong to a music store in the mall and doing it that way.. maybe you csn then get a defeinate yes or no..if the store you go to has it and you can preorder it from tyhem

Does that make ANY sense!?!? Soory if I've confused you..didn't mean to.. :)

That's actually kinda why I am asking. I preordered two copies from Sam Goody already. Just wondering if they will be of the limited edition variety. I asked the lady if I would get a limited edition copy, and she said that any time an album comes out with a special first edition version, anyone who preordered it is guaranteed one. But if Sam Goody doesn't receive them in their shipments, there will be nothing she can do for me.

Hi everyone ... just got this e-mail back from amazon.com:

Dear JoAnne,

Thanks for writing in to Amazon.com.

I'm sorry, but I have been unable to determine just yet whether the new
Garth Brooks CD "Scarecrow" will be the special edition CD.

However if you sign up for our Amazon.com Alerts service you can be
notified to more information that match your interests as it becomes

Nothing from Capital-Nashville yet.
