Wrapped Up In You
(by Wayne Kirkpatrick/Garth Brooks)

How do I love you?
Well, let me see
I love you like a lyric loves a melody
Baby, completely
Wrapped up in you

How do I need you?
Can’t you tell?
I need you like a penny needs a wishing well
Baby, completely
Wrapped up in you

Every now and then
When the world gets a little bit crazy
You gladly hold me and carry me through
No one in the world ever done what you did for me
And I’d be sad and lonely
If there was no ‘you’

How do I love you?
Count the ways
There ain't a number high enough
To end this phrase
Baby, completely
Wrapped up in you

Every now and then
When the world get a little bit crazy
You gladly hold me and carry me through
No one in the world ever done what you did for me
And I’d be sad and lonely
If there was no ‘you’

How do I love you?
Well, don’t you know
I love you ‘bout as deep as any love can go
Baby, completely
Wrapped up in you

Baby, completely
Wrapped up in you

This is how "Garth" sings it.. Wayne's is a little different (just a few word changes)

I think that Garth's version says:

Every now and then
When the world that we're livin' in's crazy

I listened to it again to be sure, but I think that this is the way he's singing it.

Here are the lyrics from the inside of the GB single, given to radio. There are a couple of other minor differences, as well as near the end the line is
"I love you about as deep as any love can GROW."
Let's see if I made this small enough to post...
J.
No... of course not. Let me work on shrinking some more...

So garth changed 3 tiny things and gets credit for being a co-writer???

He changed "I love you like a CRUNER loves a melody" to 'lyric'...
"I need you like a DREAMER needs a wishing well." to 'penny'...
The "deep as any love can grow" is hypercritical kinda cause usually growing symblizes a growtthh..... which wayne accomplished the personification really well.

I gotta admit, althought im a garth fan, the words were much better the way they were. He seemed to re write it for elementary kids to understand. Dissapoints me as much as I have been anticipating this release. Kudos to Wayne though...

To Garth:
I got every album you've put out (even tha hits, collections, box set, as well as some imports from australia) but this is ridiculous. Dont take credit for co-writing if you changed a few things to elementary style songwriting!

How many versions of this song are out? I heard one that doesn't sound like the same thing that country radio is playing, but sounds like Garth.
