the song i wrote a long time of ago? about Garth and James Garver?

Poetry.com chose it as one of the best poems for 2001.

**littlebit falling out of her chair in total shock**

they want me to give them another poem, sight unseen, which they want to publish in another book and put it in a contest for alot of money. it's guaranteed to be put in the book and i get the copyright and i ain't even sent it yet!

after everything that has happened this week, i thought a tiny bit of good news might help.

Okey ya'll, this is all yours, and James and Garth's fault

Once AGAIN kind actions from ya'll have given me a gift.

Thank you Garth and James for being so kind to me.

Thank ya'll for the kind words and the encouragment you gave me when i first wrote it.

if i do get really lucky and win any money,

it's goin to Touch 'em all. ;)

OMGARTH how could i forget about Chris!?

Chris? Sweetie, honey, darlin' this IS your fault too ya'know, please forgive me for being such an idiot! :o

thanks for asking to see it again.

Eyes so blue

Eyes so blue,

Like an open prairie sky
A smile so sweet,
Like a long slow country mile

It's in the way you move, the music of your laugh
The warmth that's in your voice,

Eyes so blue

A space in time is captured in a photograph
A day I know that I'm not likely to forget

You could have walked away,
You didn't have to stay
The kindness that you gave lives in my heart today,

Eyes so blue

And even if our path's should never chance to cross again

In my heart and in my thoughts,
You will remain, my friend,

Eyes so blue.

this is the poem i submitted for the book and contest:

dedicated to those who lost their lives and to those who remain.

September 11, 2001

Did you really think I stop believing?
In peace, faith, hope and love?

Did you really feel that what you’ve done,
Will be sanctioned by Allah above?

Did you really think you had the Power?
To darken out The Light?

And yet today; The Sun did rise . . .
You’re so much smaller than you think!

The birds are still singing,
Although my heart cannot.

The innocent still laugh and play,
Oblivious to your hate.

And even in the darkness,
The Moon shall light my way.

No, you did not stop Humanity,
Not tomorrow, or any other day.

There will be more days to come,
And nightfall will come too.

When you’ll come then to realize,
Love lives on, in spite of you.

MK 4:30 Again he said, "What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade."
deAnnalynn, that 'littlebit' of faith you 'mustarded' up on account of Garth and James has raised quite a harvest. Thanks for the shade under your tree at such a time as this! Love, Dale
