Ok, well... I saw Trisha last night... and it was a GREAT show!!! Steve Wariner opened up for her... He even made a funny...

He said he was talking to his friend recently, who was telling him this story of what had happened to him. He was sitting at home, when his doorbell rang. He went to the door to see who it was, and it was a couple of Jehovah's Witnesses. He asked them "Can I help you fellers?" So they told him who they were... and he invited them in.

After about 10 mins of total silence, no one saying anything, he finally asked them...

"Why aren't y'all saying nothin'?"

"Well... see... we've never gotten this far before. We don't know what to say."

Ok, so anyway... :p I happen to know otherwise, though... that we'd end up never shutting up instead. Hehehehehehehe... :p

OK.. sorry... now to Trisha's show...

She opened up with "She's In Love With The Boy"... and kept the audience's attention throughout her entire show... two duets with Steve Wariner included, in which the only instrument was his guitar and their two voices... til her last song, which was "On A Bus To St. Cloud"... Anyway, the following is a track listing of everything she did...

She's In Love With The Boy
Believe Me, Baby I Lied
X's and O's
Walkaway Joe
Thinkin' About You
Love Alone (from her new CD)
The Song Remembers When
Where I Am Now
Perfect Love
Let It Be Me (Everly Bros. song... duet w/Steve)
I'm Ready For The Times To Get Better (Chett Atkins song that Crystal Gayle also covered... duet w/Steve)
I Would've Loved You Anyway (current single off new album)
That's What I Like About You
Wrong Side of Memphis
How Do I Live

{encore}

Seven Year Ache (from her new CD)
On A Bus To St. Cloud

Anyway... it was really a great show... and I took a whole roll of pics... Hopefully at least one or two of them came out ok. Hehehe.. if they did, I'll post 'em. It was my first time using my new camera, so be nice to me.

:p

She was very entertaining... Music, stories, even her ramblings... It was all in all a very good show!

If you haven't seen her yet... you're missing out. If you have seen her.. go see her again!

*sigh*

Anyways, you are so lucky to get to see both Steve and Trisha! That must've been awesome!

And I see that Trisha didn't do "There Goes My Baby" again. It was on the set list for the show that we went to on Friday night, but when that song came up, she huddled with Johnny Garcia and changed it to "Seven Year Ache." I'm not sure why, but that song is a killer with those high notes at the end! LOL I think that I might've changed it too!

Thanks for the great post!

Jim :)

BTW Sam:)

Why only 18 songs?? Isn't that a bit lame?? She could do MUCH more.
I would be disappointed with so few songs at a concert unless it was part of a show with many more artists.

Hehehe cool cartoon:p:p:p

Brian I didn't see the show but know that it took place at a casino. My experience has been that concerts held at casinos are usually shorter than usual because the management wants the audience back out spending money at the tables and the slot machines. If I have a choice of seeing an artist at a casino or a regular concert venue, I always opt for the regular concert venue because the show is much better (longer and the audience isn't made up of a lot of people who got comp tickets and could care less about the entertainment)...no comment, Brian, I'm talking about any entertainer.

Thanks for the info Paula:cool:

I think it is plain silly though, to make concerts in casinos:(
I would think the ticket proces are much lower compared to the normal venues then??

When she was in DK she, marty Stuart and Emmylou Harris held a 4 hour concert in a 2000 people venue:) That was okay:) but it was also much more than 18 songs;)

Well.. the ticket price that I paid was relatively cheap... I only paid $30 for floor seats... about 10 rows back in the second row of sections...

I paid $60 for Tim McGraw tix... and the seats are at about the same spot in the crowd... if not better than Tim's... so this was a deal!!!! I'll take half as many songs that Tim may or may not do, for half the price, and LOVE the show. At this rate, Tim's gonna have to do 36 songs...

I've never been to a concert at Mohegan Sun Casino, although I have been to a few at Foxwoods Casino down the road and the prices there have been pretty high for the most part. I'll have to check the schedule a little more often at MS. Actually, I'm going to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun next Monday and Tuesday. Keith Urban is going to be at MS on Monday night in the Wolf Den, which is the free stage.

Yeah, Paula... I noticed that when I was there... They had a list of all the upcoming acts that will be there for the next couple of weeks.

I only wish it wasn't a Monday night... :(
