Hey Nelly, in the words of the man himself "Very Cool", a Garth Brooks baseball action figure, that really is too sweet:p I'd love to bid but to say im skint is an understatement
What would be even better is a Garth Brooks action figure with an 'Ugly';) shirt and a cowboy hat, with a card with a concert photo on it. I'd buy one of those:D

Just so everyone realizes, this is a homemade figure so it is only as good as the artist. This is not an officially licensed MLB or SLU piece.

Ok, I just checked it out, and the guy said Garth's number was number 7... When Garth played with the Padres, his number was 77!

Still, it's a very cool novelty... a one-of-a-kind item... and to think... they used Cal Ripken as the "base" figure to make this Garth figurine. :D VERY COOL!!!

Since it went for that much money, it's a shame it didn't sell for just ONE more dollar. It would have been $77!!!

ROFLM*O

Ok, I'll stop now... hehehehehehe... :p

Am I the only one?

A lot of toy companies with do that, Tommy:p They will put one player or star on the background of action figure. Like Star Wars, on the background, it's either Darth Vader or Darth Maul for 95% of their action figures:p

I wish they would offically release a Garth SLU. I'd be first inline! And maybe if they see they see this auction, they might do it:o

no tommy. you're not the only one that think the action figure isnt much like Garth though...

The baseball card is homemade too. As far as I know, Garth never had an official baseball card with either the Padres or the Mets.

Tommy - Starting Line-Ups are the premier sports action figure collection. Some of the first SLUs (started in mid 80s I believe) fetch large sums at auction.

Your right PJ, I use to collect Ozzie Smith cards and I got his first two SLU, well I kick myself now because I opened both of them:mad: Anyways, the first ones they made can bring $50 easy now-a-days:o

I have seen Kellen Winslow's original SLU go for as much as $1000.
