Jeesh, how long has it been? ;)

The only reason I finished this one tonight is because I'm desperately procrastinating from finishing my history paper, lol. And once I post, the paper will be the only thing left to do. AHHH!! ;)

Lots of words, yes, but I only wrote what decided to get to my hands. I hope you enjoy!

When I Find Home
© 2001 Stephanie Shade

He moved out this morning
Yeah, I watched him go
No, I havenít heard a word yet
Said heíd call when he got home
You know, the hardest part of all this
is not that he chose to leave
But that when his heart needs comfort
Thereís no question where heíll be

He sees where heís going Ďcuz he knows where heís been
Rolling back his wheels so that he can start again
Once he remembers where his soul used to rest
Heíll find his way back to that place like he never left
Pretty soon heíll be turning down those familiar roads
And heíll call me when he gets home

Hey, babe, how you doing
Itís so good to hear your voice
Yeah, I know it, too
Weíve made the right choice
No, you donít have to worry
Iíve still got life inside of me
And with nothing planned for my freedom
Thereís plenty of time to dream

But I canít see where Iím going till I know where Iíve been
Therein lies the strength Iíll need to start again
Though right now Iím not sure where my soul truly rests
Can I find my way back to a place I didnít know I left?
Tonight Iím searching myself for a road of my own
And Iíll call you when I find home

Thereís a reason I knew who I was
when I was with him
The heart can reflect things
it doesnít always give
All that disappears
when I have to stand alone
Iím left with a soul
that has everywhere to roam

But, I canít see where Iím going till I know where Iíve been
Therein lies the strength Iíll need to start again
Though right now Iím not sure where my soul truly rests
I will find my way back to a place I didnít know I left
Tonight Iím searching myself for a road of my own
And Iíll call you when I find home

Well, if your history paper comes anywhere close to this song, quality wise, you will definitely be honored by your teacher! :)

Thanks!

Nash-
Oh man......that songs touches deeply for me. I know exactly how that goes. I went through the exact same thing with an ex of mine. It still hurts to this day.

Thanks, Marjolijn and Krista.

Marjolijn, by the way, I got a 98 on the history paper, LOL. My teachers love to reward me on my procrastination. ;)

Krista, I'm glad you can relate, but I'm sorry it's this particular subject. :( But, obviously, life is still worth living. :)
