This question is directed at Brian and Jakob and anyone else from Denmark. I received this info on a new singer, Jonatha Brooke, possibly from Denmark also and I was wondering if any one has heard of her?
Hello,

I do hope that your week is going well. I just got off the phone with
Bebo Norman. He is putting the finishing touches on his new album and he's
really excited about his upcoming tour with Jennifer Knapp and Justin
McRoberts. Life seems to be going really well for him. He can't wait for
you guys to hear his new stuff. I also had a conversation with a singer/
songwriter, Jonatha Brooke. She is in Denmark teaching a seminar on song-
writing. Her new album "Steady Pull" hits stores on February 15th. She is
a phenomenal musician who doesn't speak directly of Christ. In fact, I'm
not
sure where she stands. All I know is that she asks the hard questions
about life that many, Christian or non-Christian, are scared to ask. I
look forward to bringing you both of those interviews in the near
future on CW.

BIOGRAPHY

Folk-pop singer/songwriter Jonatha Brooke emerged from the remnants of the Story, a duo she co-founded in 1981 with Jennifer Kimball while both were students at Boston's Amherst College. After two LPs, 1991's Grace in Gravity and 1993's Angel in the House, the group dissolved in 1994; Brooke completed their third album, Plumb, as a solo artist, issuing the LP in 1995 under the name Jonatha Brooke and the Story. Her proper solo debut, 10 Wings, followed in 1997, and two years later she returned with Live.

Thanks for taking the time to find that info Brian. So, Jonatha is not from Denmark then? It's cool though the singers from other countries goes to yours to teach music seminars.
Is there only a small music industry in Denmark? Do you have your own Top Ten releases on the radio, or do you have alot of foreign artists on the airwaves? And what does Denmark have great musicwise that others don't? Give us a run down, that is if you care too?N

WOW A lot of questions!!;)

I don't think DK has that many well known entertainers.

"Well known" Danish artists would be (Jakob help me out here;))

AQUA
Cartoons
Cut'n'Move
D:A:D
Whigfield:(
Metallica;););) Atleast Lars is one of the guys behind the whole project;)
Thomas Helmig

That's about what I can think about right now:eek:
AQUA is probably the only one you Americans and Canadians know:eek:

We do have international charts AND also only Danish charts, like what will sell here in DK:) LeAnn Rimes is a riot on the DK chart and Shania was #1 for several weeks.
We do have A LOT of foreing artists on here:) Mainly American and English music, but also LOTS of German dance and techno:eek: It sucks:eek:
No country stations here in DK though:(:( Too bad, but atleast the "local" stations are very very nice to play country, or atleast mine is:)

Hmm... I think you covered most of it Brian.

There's also the late Victor Borge, and "Michael Learns To Rock" - a Danish rock/pop group who used to be very famous in Asia.
