okey, plug yer ears,
She couldn't afford the bus fare,
And he knows she missed the plane.
She fights the fear that's filling up her heart,
That she won't see him again.
She leans against the bus stop,
And the rain comes pouring down.
For her cowboy at a distance,
And the ache that's left behind.
If you were here to see her,
Then you know it's not the wind.
That causes her to bend like that,
And it goes way past the pain.
He's the only man who has her heart,
The only one who ever will.
He's in her thoughts and in her prayers,
Till all the sands of time stand still.
And tomorrow if you saw her,
You'd see that she seems lost.
Even though she seems to find her way,
She can't affort to show the cost.
She'll fool the world the best she can,
For no one will ever know.
She has to put her faith in him,
And time alone she's knows will show.
But he's the only one who has her heart
An the only one who ever will.
He's in her heart, her thoughts, her prayers,
Till all of time alone stands still.

Very cool imagery. I'm kinda reminded of the Chris LeDoux video...damn, for which I can't remember the name of, but it sets one of it's characters at a bus stop.
I like the message of it, too. :)
Nice Job.
i wasn't thinking about it when i wrote it though.
Do you guys ever have a song that wants to come out, and it sits in the back of your mind and you can't seem to get the words the way you want, And then all of a sudden it comes and you grab for anything to write on, cos you know if you don't you just won't remember it quite the same way?
Wow, thanks for the neat comparison :)
take care,
